The Applied College at the University of Jeddah was originally established as the Community College following Royal Decree No. (7385), issued on 26/2/1434 AH. In alignment with the outcomes of the university’s restructuring project—mandated by royal decree—and in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education regarding the transformation of community colleges into applied colleges, the college was renamed the College of Applied Studies.
